Advacing climate justice

About Us

At Space4Innovation, we are dedicated to democratizing access to space data and technology, ensuring that all communities, especially those marginalized or underserved, can benefit from these resources. By utilizing collaborative co-design processes and working with Indigenous experts, we enable communities to take an active role in climate decision-making and drive initiatives for climate justice. Our ultimate goal is to provide every community with the necessary tools and resources to address climate challenges, fostering a fairer and more sustainable future for all.

Our Services

01

Community Software Co-Creation

Communities are the experts in their own needs. We collaborate with them to design space technology-based software solutions that address unique challenges and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring equitable access to space technology.

02

Indigenous Consultation, Engagement & Capacity Building

We recognize the leadership of Indigenous Peoples in climate action and beyond. By working closely with Indigenous and local communities worldwide, we develop culturally relevant solutions and ensure their perspectives are included in tech-related initiatives. Our cultural sensitivity training fosters mutual understanding and respect, bridging the gap between the tech world and Indigenous communities. Additionally, we provide education and training programs to empower the next generation of space professionals, promoting youth participation and preparing future leaders.

03

Indigenous Hackathons

Since 2012, we've empowered Indigenous and underrepresented communities through our unique "Indigenous Hackathon" program. By collaborating with Indigenous youth, scientists, and global participants, we co-create space-based solutions that align with community needs. Our hackathons foster creativity, innovation, and cultural diversity, enabling communities to develop solutions that resonate with their values and promote sustainable development. We provide comprehensive training and support to ensure these solutions are both culturally relevant and impactful.
